I love New Yong Kang, I think the staple dishes my family and I always order when we come here have never disappointed and remain just as delicious. We get the Walnut Prawns, Deepfried Salt&Pepper Squid, Mongolian Beef, Szechwan Style Bean Curd, String Bean w Ground Pork, Yong Kang Shredded Beef, and honestly you can't go wrong with trying any of their other dishes too. My personal favorite is the Yong Kang Beef Stew Deluxe Claypot! All very savory and tasty, I don't think there was a time there was something to complain about. Service is attentive and give you recommendations on their popular dishes as well; they give you complimentary soup to start with. Family style portions with great deals, typical lazy susan table, and BRING CASH!

It's been years since my family last dined here, so it's nice to see that New Yong Kang still had good and delicious food. We got the 3 dishes for $42 deal - the beef claypot had tender beef tendons and was not overly salty, the short rib with orange sauce was lightly crispy and yummy, and the chow mein with shrimp was solid and not overly oily. Unfortunately they ran out of pork bone soup, but the dishes were all big in portion, and so we were quite stuffed after the meal. The service was also quite good - our food arrived super quickly after ordering, and the staff was attentive and refilled our tea.

1/11/25 When you are invited to a potluck and just not sure what to bring but want to not bring the usual options...and wait last minute to decide...yelp rescues you! We found New Yong Kang browsing for options and landed on salt & pepper pork . Called in our order and picked up the food in 15 minutes. The staff were really friendly and nice. The pork spelled good. Snapped a pic! Ambiance is same as many other Chinese restaurants. Sub par simple enough decor, some tears in chairs/seats, tables with a couple condiments and laminated menus. Until next time, have a great weekend Yelp fam!

Came across New Yong Kang on Yelp. After a few hours of sweating up a storm & burning off an abundance of calories at a neighboring park, my family and I were in need of some sustenance. I did a bit of scrolling through pictures and immediately decided that the visit was a must once I came across NYK's thicky thick chow mein noodles. My family and I [a party of 4 adults, 1 child] arrived to only 2 other parties enjoying lunch. This made me a little skeptical but the high ratings on Yelp couldn't possibly steer us wrong. Menus were provided and I was pretty excited to see NYK's offering of 3 items for a set price of $42. Additional servings of rice is $2 per person, depending on your needs. Extra points because unlike other restaurants that USED TO offer this type of deal, the menu is pretty limited. NYK is generous enough to offer 80+ items to choose from!!! Lunch Items: *Seafood Chow Mein [you already know we had to get them noodz] *Salt N Pepper Calamari *Seafood Beancurd Deluxe Claypot *Steamed Chicken *White Rice Food was good, we especially enjoyed the chow mein. If you are a fan of those thicky thick noodles, these are a must have!!! The calamari was good but as expected, they were overly battered. Unfortunately there were a few pieces where the batter was undercooked due to clumps sticking together. The sweet and sour sauce made up for the hiccup!! I would buy a bottle of this in a heartbeat! Beancurd claypot was nice. I enjoyed the seafood and the Napa cabbage combo. Sauce could have used a sprinkling of more salt but overall, a solid dish. Steamed chicken was basic. This was the dish we could have done without or swapped with another option. It wasn't bad but just wasn't good enough to order again. 4 stars overall. The food hits the spot and the staff is so friendly. Do be advised that tip is automatically included. According to one of the staff ladies, any party of 3 or more will have tip included in the bills total. I'd return if I was in the area, my pickly little monster absolutely enjoyed the noodles.

Yum! Rock cod corn is super delicious. All the food is good and well flavored. Cash only and easy to phone in the orders. Loved the honey walnut shrimp. Not sure on the ambiance as we get the food to go. Chinese chicken salad was also delicious.

My friend introduced me to this local Chinese restaurant in Fremont, california. Authentic Cantonese cooking at their best. I was told their eggplant pork dish is their best seller, unfortunately I was not in the mood for eggplant this evening. I went with the lamb with stick bean curd clay pot, bittermelon fish and the stir fried snow pea leaf. The meat was started with a wonderful house soup cooked with pork and asian herbs, I finished it all, so tell me if it was any good. The lamb dish required a lot of rice to accompany and it was pretty darn great, I would have liked a lot more bean curd. It is sometimes served with a preserved bean curd sauce but they didn't serve it that way here. The bittermelon was cooked a little crunchy the way I like it, the only complaint was the fish was not to my liking too much. The snow pea leaf dish was well, great. Their portion size was almost double what would be served in other restaurants, I certainly appreciate normal serving sizes like this. As in typical Chinese restaurants I just asked if they had these dishes without looking at the menu and if it was fresh, I really don't know how to order off a menu because culturally that's not how dishes are ordered in a true Chinese restaurant. The waitress just let me know if the kitchen could cook what I wanted and if the ingredients were available. The restaurant was a pretty good size with lots of tables which could accommodate small groups as well as larger parties, the decorations reminded me of older Chinese restaurants, very comfortable setting. The menu is so extensive that I'm not able post the whole menu which I didn't pay any attention to anyway.

A place my family and I have been coming ever since I was a kid. Pretty affordable and authentic Chinese food that you can do family style. Here are a few dishes we got: - filet of rock cod with bean curd in a clay pot: saucy and savory dish. We opt to get no breading on the flour and the fish was still soft. The sauce they mix with goes really well with all the ingredients - deep fried flounder with special sauce: whole deep fried fish that is crispy on the outside and flakey on the inside. Batter isn't thick, very light coating of flour. Special sauce a little on the salty side. - walnut prawns: typical walnut prawns you get at any Chinese restaurant. Good shrimp to batter ratio. Personally wish they included more walnuts on the side. Nothing wrong with this dish - combination fried rice: really good fried rice, wasn't oily and had great wok hei flavor. Pairs well with all the dishes Overall, our family's go to spot for quick, delicious, and simple restaurant. Cant really go wrong with anything on the menu, just choose and pick what you like! Note: Cash Only & 15% tip included on bill
